Hon’ble Ms. FarkhandaWasimAfzal took charge as the Provincial Ombudsperson Punjab on 16 April, 2015. Before joining this position, she retired as an officer of BS-22 of the Pakistan Administrative Service of the Government of Pakistan. She has over 36 years of working experience and during her active service, she held distinguished leading positions with the Federal as well as Provincial Governments. Before her retirement on 03rd March, 2014 she was holding the position of Director General, Civil Service Academy, Government of Pakistan, Lahore.
She holds a Masters Degree in Economics from McGill University, Montreal, Canada; Masters of Science in Management from Graduate School of Management, Arthur D. Little, Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA; and Masters of Economics from the University of the Punjab Lahore.
During her service, she attended several courses in the realm of management studies within the country as well as abroad and visited Indonesia, India, New Zealand, Singapore, Germany and Thailand in this connection.
